Personal Data Protection Notice

1. Personal data collected

Depending on your relationship with APPR, we may collect identification, contact, employment, recruitment, payroll, statutory, immigration, financial, contractual, technical and communication information. Some information may be sensitive or subject to additional protection under applicable law.

2. Sources of personal data

Personal data may be collected from you, your employer or prospective employer, authorised representatives, application or enquiry forms, interviews, communications, HR or payroll systems, recruitment platforms, public sources, referees, service providers and relevant authorities.

3. Purposes of processing

We process personal data to evaluate and respond to requests, deliver contracted HR and employment services, administer candidates and employees, process payroll and benefits, complete registrations and statutory submissions, support immigration or work permit matters, maintain records, manage risk and security, improve our services and comply with legal obligations.

4. Disclosure

Personal data may be disclosed to your employer or prospective employer, APPR personnel, professional advisers, technology and service providers, banks, insurers, screening partners and statutory, regulatory or government bodies where the disclosure is connected with a requested service, authorised by you, or required or permitted by law.

5. Mandatory and voluntary information

Fields identified as required, together with information needed to complete a requested service or statutory process, must be supplied. If required information is not provided, APPR may be unable to respond to an application, complete a registration, process payroll or deliver the relevant service.

6. Security, retention and transfers

APPR applies reasonable safeguards and limits access to authorised personnel and providers. Personal data is retained only as long as needed for the stated purposes or applicable legal, accounting, audit and contractual requirements. When processing or support occurs outside Malaysia, reasonable measures will be used to protect the transferred information in accordance with applicable law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal data, withdraw consent, object to certain uses, request deletion or restriction, and exercise any other right available to you. Some requests may be limited where retention or processing is required by law, a contract or a legitimate legal claim.

8. Your responsibilities

Please ensure personal data supplied to APPR is accurate, complete and current. Where you provide another person's data, you confirm that you have authority to do so and have met applicable notice and consent requirements.

9. Updates

This notice may be revised when our services, practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published here with its revision date.
